Progress to Excellence buzzes about helping two good causes
Progress to Excellence Ltd is buzzing about helping two of its favourite local community organisations.
After visiting the new garden area at The Hive Youth Zone in Birkenhead, the company has donated a £100 voucher to be spent in Autism Together’s garden centre in Bromborough.
Progress to Excellence Group is a founder patron of The Hive, a new £6m state-of-the-art facility for young people throughout Wirral while Autism Together is the chosen charity of the year for Progress to Excellence Ltd.
Damian Burdin, chief executive at Progress to Excellence Ltd, said: “The garden at The Hive is coming along well, adding a touch of outdoor colour to the centre as well as being somewhere young people can develop gardening skills.
“We also are great supporters of the work being done by Autism Together at its garden centre at Bromborough Pool, set up as a social enterprise by the charity and which has recently reported record sales.
“We are therefore delighted to have been able to help these two organisations which both figure greatly in our operation by its support for the local community.”
Gill Pleavin, enterprise and employability co-ordinator at The Hive, added: “We are very grateful to Progress to Excellence Ltd for its generous donation towards our garden and we will be taking a trip to the Autism Together garden centre to use the voucher for hanging baskets and bird feeders.
“It’s fantastic for our young people to have this outdoor space to develop as part of their Hive experience.”
